What is Muay Thai?
Muay Thai originated in Thailand where it was nicknamed the art of eight limbs as it allows punching, kicking, elbow and knee techniques. It is widely recognised as the most efficient stand up Martial Art making it ideal for beginners due to its simplicity. It is also typically the art of choice for Mixed Martial Arts fighters.
Muay Thai is a fantastic way to get fit as it’s a whole-body workout which develops explosive power and cardiovascular fitness, it’s also an extremely efficient self defence system.
Dorchester Muay Thai is affiliated to The Phraya Pichai Muay Thai association and regularly hosts head instructor Bob Spour for seminars and gradings.
Our Muay Thai classes run on a Tuesday and Thursday from 7.30pm till 9pm.
