At Dorchester Martial Arts we never throw a new member into a group class of experienced martial artists. It is not a great environment for you to learn martial arts, it slows down the rest of the class and its potentially unsafe without the correct training.
We have always guided new members through a ten session 121 beginners course which was taken by the same coach who would coach your group classes, it makes you familiar with the gym, you develop a great relationship with your coach and when you join the group classes, you feel confident and are proficient with the movements.
The only downside to this system was that some people simply couldn’t afford it, our coaches are the most qualified and experienced in the area and 121 training is more expensive then group coaching.
To make our classes more accessible, we have introduced a group beginners course. This four-week course will teach you all the fundamental movements of Muay Thai or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and will fully prepare you to join our group classes. The course costs £99 which is less then a fifth of our 121 course
Our next Muay Thai beginners course starts on the 1st of February and will run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Our next Brazilian Jiu Jitsu beginners course starts on the 5th of February and will run on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
To book your place please get in touch via the contact page and a member of the team will get in touch.
