New ladies only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class
I’m really excited to announce from Monday the 6th of November we will be starting a ladies only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6pm. This class is perfect for anyone looking to improve their fitness and learn self-defence skills.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or BJJ is a grappling art that shot to fame when Royce Gracie won the first UFC competition in 1993. BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent
The first 5 sessions will be spent running through our fundamentals programme which is normally only done in a 121 format, this will save all members who start on the 7th hundreds of pounds. After that all new members will be required to do the 121 programme before joining the group class.
